VSB and VISB co-organized a certification workshop on Six Sigma-Yellow Belt for MBA and PGDM newly enrolled students in October 2023. Six Sigma is a set of techniques and tools used for process improvement.

The workshop was led by Dr. Shailja Grover, a renowned data scientist from New Delhi. The session was followed by a written exam conducted by JAS Nurturing Skills for the award of Yellow Belt Certification to the qualified students!

Certification Workshop on Basic and Advance Microsoft Excel (May 2023)

Students of VIDYA School of Business and VIDYA International School of Business participated in a one day 'Basic and Advance Microsoft Excel Workshop' at Ducat- Campus and Industrial Training School in Ghaziabad on 13 May 2023 and learned the arithmetic operations and functions of Spreadsheets.

Our students brushed up their basic skills of creating and editing workbooks in MS Excel and also gained insights into Advanced Excel tools of Pivot tables and VBA under the guidance of Ms Suhani and Mr Avinash.

Our honourable speaker, ‘Dr. Akarsh Arora’, a distinguished academician and an IIT Roorkee PhD alumnus lead this Webinar and shared crucial insights into the field of research methodology.

A Certification Program on Portfolio Management supported by NIIT (Feb 2020)

Vidya School of Business and Vidya International School of business added a feather to the golden hat by signing an MOU with NIIT under which MBA and PGDM students were provided with a Certification in Portfolio Management from NIIT starting from February 18, 2020 till February 29, 2020.

Prof. Sunil Arora, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) providing consultancy to reputed companies of India and abroad, led the program and gave valuable insights on Portfolio Management to the students.

An examination was conducted on February 29, 2020 in order to award the certificate of excellence to the participants.

A CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP ON POWER BI

Two days workshop was organized by Mr. Avinash Jain a Certified Microsoft Professional on 5^th & 30^th December 2019 for MBA and PGDM (Advance) students of Vidya School of Business Advance.

He gave a valuable insight into how ERP and technology came into existence, how data can be used with the help of various analytical tools and in providing Smart Decision Services. Business Analytics is the subset of Business Intelligence, which helps companies to understand the past and predict the future to improve company’s effectiveness in the market place.

This workshop provided with hands on experience on Power BI. Mr. Jain focused on DAX and Power Pivort. DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) is the native formula and query language for Microsoft Power Pivot, Power BI Desktop and SQL Server Analysis Services Tabular Models. He taught students to create measures and displaying them in Report View or Data View.

Certification Course in Tally ERP and GST by NIIT

A certification course in Tally ERP 9 and GST by NIIT was provided to students of MBA/ PGDM Semester I to enhance their skills in the competitive environment of skilled professionals possessing the requisite skills to cater to the complex business accounting requirement.

The classes commenced from October 12, 2019.

The Certification focuses on imparting a clear understanding of accounting knowledge and practical aspects of accounting to the candidate. Also the certification provides a visible recognition for this knowledge and gives a chance to assess their skills.

CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP ON SIX SIGMA

Ms. Shailja Grover, 6σ Master (Black Belt), a ZED Master Trainer & Consultant, Quality Control of India, Ministry of MSME, trained MBA I and II year students of VSB regarding Six Sigma Yellow Belt in a one-day session held at the campus on 12^th October 2019.

The training provided the students a comprehension of the fundamental methodologies and tools utilized for Six Sigma, enabling them to gain a Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification approved by MSME, Technology Development Centre, Meerut. Around 100 students and faculty members participated in the training.

The training covered the topics– definition, measurement, analysis, improvement and control aspects of Six Sigma Yellow Belt. Students found the workshop extremely useful and beneficial for their career. Ms. Grover exemplified the theory by several case studies from TATA Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Peterson Pacific and Xerox Corporation and explained how these companies are being benefited by using Lean Six Sigma as a tool to improvise and minimize defects.

A Certification Workshop on Digital Marketing by DUCAT

A Certification Workshop on Digital Marketing was organized by Vidya School of Business on September 24, 2019. The lecture was accompanied by a practical lab session where MBA 2^nd year students enriched their technological knowledge base.

Through interaction based approach the speaker delineated the difference between traditional marketing and digital marketing. The speaker discussed the platforms for digital marketing like G- mail, Search Engines, Social Media and Display Marketing. They later emphasized the career prospects in digital marketing and its benefits like online earning and start-ups. The session came to end as the speaker discussed the ways of earning money online by using YouTube and affiliate marketing.

The workshop was very informative and was thoroughly enjoyed by students.

A CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME AT NEISBUD

A Workshop on Entrepreneurship Development Program was conducted in NIESBUD, Noida on 19^th and 20^th September 2019. NIESBUD is an apex organization working under the administrative control of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India. MBA Advance I year students participated in the workshop which was focused on inculcating the feeling/ culture of Entrepreneurship among students. It also imparted knowledge in developing the entrepreneurial abilities in order to run a business successfully.

During the workshop eminent speakers gave insights on the importance of entrepreneurship for the economy and an individual. The students were also informed about how to start the business and effective ways to sustain it successfully.

On the whole the workshop paved a path to be more informative, interactive and gave students full-fledged insights to become successful entrepreneurs.

A CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP ON POWER BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE

A workshop was organized on Power Business Intelligence by Mr. Avinash Jain a Certified Microsoft Professional from DUCAT on 31^st August 2019. He delivered an interactive session on Business Intelligence to the students of Vidya School of Business.

He gave a valuable insight on how ERP and technology came into existence, how data can be used with the help of various analytics tools and in providing Smart Decision Services.

In terms of career, he spoke about how important it is to stick to an area, “Domain or Vertical” as he called it and also how to create a brand for ourselves by showcasing our strengths.

It was a fascinating experience for the students to learn about this latest technology emerging in employability trend.

A CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP ON BASIC & ADVANCE MS EXCEL

A certification workshop on MS Excel was organized at Vidya School of Business on August 31, 2019 for students of MBA. Mr. Linkan Sagar conducted the workshop and taught the basic concepts of MS Excel and Advance MS Excel.

The MS Excel training provided the students a comprehension of the fundamental methodologies and tools utilized in MS Excel, enabling them to gain a certification approved by DUCAT. The training covered topics including basics like creating formulas, tracking numbers, sorting and filtering, performing calculations to conditional formatting.

Mr Linkan Sagar exemplified by giving random data for creating results and segregating the same with ease making the workshop even more productive for the staff. Students and even the faculty members, found the workshop extremely useful and beneficial.

A certification course in Tally ERP 9 and GST by NIIT was provided to students of MBA/ PGDM to enhance their skills in the competitive environment of skilled professionals possessing the requisite skills to cater to the complex business accounting requirement. The classes commenced from 27th Aug, 2018.

CERTIFICATION COURSE OF MS OFFICE by NIIT

A certification course in MS Office advance by Mrs. Bhavna from NIIT was provided to students of MBA/ PGDM to enhance their digital skills. The classes commenced from 13th Feb 2019. This certification enables students to provide resources for professional presentation of data that is compatible with most operating systems.

Microsoft Office is a set of desktop applications that offer flexible and powerful ways to organize, manage, and present information. Universally used in office settings, knowledge of Microsoft Office tools are a must for anyone in today’s job market.
